Getting creative with your photos isn’t just about making them look cool; it’s about making a lasting impression. Whether you’re a freelancer, entrepreneur, or job seeker, injecting some personality into your shots helps you leave a mark and show off what makes you unique. From funky angles to playful props, there are countless ways to make your photos pop. I recently had the opportunity to capture dark and moody, yet also creative headshots for Copy With Spice, proving that self portraits don’t have to be boring.
For Copy with Spice’s headshots, we decided to flip the script entirely. Instead of sticking to the usual, we embraced the unconventional. We experimented with props like stacks of books, striking poses that defy the norm. Additionally, we got creative with a projector, illuminating her brand’s name in a unique way. These unconventional touches injected heaps of personality and character into her photos, effectively showcasing her brand and what it stands for.
Putting effort into your self-portraits and headshots sends a message that you’re serious about how you present yourself. It’s not just about looking good—it’s about showing that you’re willing to go the extra mile to make an impact. So, next time you’re in front of the camera, don’t be afraid to get a little creative. After all, your photos are your chance to shine. Thank you, Copy with Spice for allowing my creativity to flow through your dark and moody headshots! “Gracie is your photographer. That’s all! She got me (a total introvert) to smile and have fun! I’m just so glad I met her, she’s my photog for life!” – Brianna
