At the start of the year, I had the amazing opportunity to capture Kailee and Chris’ outdoor winter engagement session here in Colorado! The winter season is a beautiful time to shoot engagement photos, and having it by the mountains is especially stunning. With the snow-covered Rocky Mountains in the background, the cozy feel of the season was captured in each frame. The snow was so gorgeous that surrounded us, and the love shared between the couple was truly remarkable to witness.
As a photographer, one of the best things about winter engagement sessions is the low lighting conditions which makes the photos feel so romantic. With the sun setting early in the evening, the photos are given warm, softer hues and rich colors. This makes for some truly magical photos! The winter air was definitely pretty chilly, but this couple braved through it! They were such a blast to be around. Their love and excitement was so clear in how they interacted with each other. The joy they have is contagious, and it was such an awesome shoot.
All in all, this winter engagement session was magical. It was totally worth braving through the cold snow! I’m so obsessed with how these turned out, there’s just something so magical about a session in the snow. These two love each other so much and can’t wait to spend the rest of their lives together! I’m so honored they trusted me to capture these memories for them, and I hope they cherish these photos for years and years to come.
